STUDIO Artist: Gewn-lin Goo
Students spent several weeks studying elements of their community before skteching out "Brighton Beach Reflection" onto pieces of poplar wood. Using wood burning tools, they outlined the images, and then painted in the details. The effect is a colorful and lively display of the students’ community, complete with an applied lattice-work fence and seagulls suspended in the sky. The whole school community can enjoy this installation daily in its permanent home in the school cafeteria.
