Visual Arts Blueprint Collaborative Community Program

The Studio in a School Association, Inc. (STUDIO) and the New York City Department of Education (DOE) are pleased to continue a grant program for a limited number of selected elementary schools entitled The Visual Arts Blueprint Collaborative Communities. Established in 2005, it is specifically designed to build on the strengths of excellent art teachers and committed administrators. Collaborative Communities are schools with established exemplary visual arts programs; this is not a remedial program nor is it meant only to deliver supplementary art instruction. The grant provides significant support for these sites to develop and demonstrate the administrative, curricular and instructional strategies necessary to fully realize the visual arts Blueprint in a whole school context.
