Collage: Learning Takes Shape

After Some Experience

After some experience children discover more possibilities in collage. They begin to select and place their collage materials with more deliberation. They learn to use materials and composition in ways that express their own ideas. They realize that it takes some planning and concentration to make a design or picture look just the way the want. They also learn that sometimes the collage develops in unexpected ways, and that each collage is some kind of surprise.
